Educational/Research
Interests: |
Dr Jordan is the CME Director for the UWO Department of Family Medicine. He presents several lectures and seminars each year to Year 1 and Year 2 UWO Medical Class on topics including Primary Prevention/Secondary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Rehab, Cancer Screening, Health Promotion and Patient Interviewing. He is on the PAACT Steering Committee and in that role is quite involved with development and presentation of CME workshops on Antibiotic Prescribing, Anemia, Hypertension, COPD/Asthma. Dr. Jordan is a preceptor and regular workshop presenter for the Ontario Alzheimer Strategy – Physician Education Initiative. He is also actively involved in undergraduate education and sits on the departmental Undergraduate Education Committee.

Dr. Jordan obtained a Master of Clinical Science in Family Medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1993. He received the Martin J. Bass Recognition Award in 1999 for exceptional contribution to Family Medicine at Western. He received Fellowship in the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2001. He was named Ontario’s Family Physician of the Year in 2002 and received the Reg L. Perkin award from the Canadian College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2002 for being one of Canada’s Family Physicians of the Year. He received the LHSC department of Family Medicine Chief’s Recognition Award for Exemplary Service in 2003. He received the USC Teaching Honour Roll - Award of Excellence in 2004-2005 and in 2006-2007. |
